Virginia and West Virginia Genealogical Data from Revolutionary War Pension and Bounty Land Warrant Records, Volume 6 Ullum Through Zumwalt

This volume is part of a comprehensive multi-part series compiled by genealogical researcher Patrick G. Wardell, designed to provide accessible transcripts and abstracts for historians and researchers. Published by Heritage Books, a firm dedicated to preserving local history and genealogical resources, the project aimed to consolidate scattered Revolutionary War Pension and Bounty Land Warrant records into a systematic, easy-to-reference format specifically focused on veterans from the Virginia and West Virginia regions.

The design of the work follows the tradition of archival reference texts, prioritizing readability and organizational clarity over aesthetic flair. By focusing on the alphabetical sequence from Ullum through Zumwalt, Wardell provided a vital bridge for those tracing lineage to the colonial era, offering details that were previously locked away in federal microfilm or physical record repositories. The work is widely regarded in professional genealogical circles as a reliable, utilitarian tool for documenting the service records of soldiers who might otherwise be lost to history.
