Wolfgang Falck, the Happy Falcon

Wolfgang Falck, the Happy Falcon serves as the definitive autobiographical account of the life of Wolfgang Falck, a prominent Luftwaffe officer who gained recognition during the Second World War as a pioneer of night fighter tactics. Published in 2003 by Eagle Editions, the volume was produced as part of the publisher's focused effort to document aviation history through the personal perspectives of those who served. The narrative chronicles Falck's career from his early training to his eventual command roles, providing insight into the tactical evolution of aerial warfare from the perspective of an experienced pilot.

The book is a collaboration between Falck and the archival research team at Eagle Editions, designed to preserve firsthand accounts of significant military developments. By emphasizing both personal memoir and technical historical record, the work was intended to serve as a primary source for aviation historians. It has been well-regarded within military history circles for its candid tone and the inclusion of primary documentation, helping to solidify its place as a standard reference for students of mid-century aerial combat and Luftwaffe command structure.
