En Kongelig Jul Med Henning Kvitnes, Tine Valand & De Tre Kongler Claes Neeb, Espen Holtan & Glenn-Vidar Solheim

Released in 2000 under the King Records label, this Christmas-themed CD captures a collaborative spirit between Norwegian singer-songwriter Henning Kvitnes and vocalist Tine Valand. The production brings together a seasoned group of musicians, including Claes Neeb, Espen Holtan, and Glenn-Vidar Solheim, who are collectively credited under the project name De Tre Kongler. The album serves as a reflection of the Scandinavian tradition of blending folk and Americana influences into seasonal music, moving away from purely liturgical arrangements toward a more contemporary, guitar-driven sound.

The project was designed to showcase the stripped-back, melodic approach characteristic of Kvitnes's solo work during this period, emphasizing warmth and acoustic intimacy. By integrating Valand's vocal style, the arrangement aims for a balanced, harmonious listening experience suitable for a holiday atmosphere. While primarily distributed within the Norwegian market, the release remains a notable example of the collaborative regional projects that defined the indie-adjacent Christmas music scene in Norway at the turn of the millennium.
