Euro Games IV (Euro Games Proudly Presents Polaris)

Released in 1996, Euro Games IV: Polaris was produced as part of a series of compilations curated for the Eurodance market, a genre that dominated European airwaves and club scenes throughout the mid-1990s. The record label, Euro Games, aimed to capture the high-energy, synthesizer-heavy aesthetic that defined the era, packaging these tracks for listeners who favored the fast-paced, melodic production common to late-twentieth-century electronic dance music.

The project was designed to showcase Polaris, a group whose contributions reflected the era's focus on driving basslines and polished, radio-friendly vocals. While Eurodance compilations of this period were often ephemeral by nature—intended primarily for retail in specialty record shops and dance clubs—they served as vital vessels for documenting the evolving studio production techniques of independent European electronic producers.
