Where it came from
This release serves as a archival reissue of material originally recorded by Norwegian guitarists Svein Finjarn and Leif Jensen during the early 1970s. The collaboration captures a specific moment in the Scandinavian instrumental rock scene, characterized by a sophisticated blend of melodic pop sensibilities and the reverb-heavy, twang-focused aesthetic of the surf and country-rock movements of the era.
The 2009 reissue was handled by Shadoks Music, a label widely respected by collectors for its meticulous dedication to excavating obscure psychedelic, folk, and progressive rock gems from the late 1960s and 1970s. By compiling these rare sessions, the label aimed to provide historical context to Finjarn’s influential career in the Norwegian music landscape, offering a clean, remastered window into the duo's clean-cut, technical precision and nostalgic soundscapes.
