Igor Kamenz, Klavier

Released in 1994 under the Freiburger Musik Forum label, this compact disc highlights the technical virtuosity of pianist Igor Kamenz. The collection features a diverse program centered on the Romantic works of Robert Schumann and Frédéric Chopin, alongside the more percussive and modern compositions of Igor Stravinsky. This recording serves as a bridge between the expressive, lyrical traditions of the 19th century and the stark, rhythmic complexities of early 20th-century piano literature.

The album was produced during a period of professional development for Kamenz, who gained recognition for his disciplined approach to the piano repertoire. By juxtaposing Schumann and Chopin with Stravinsky, the release aims to demonstrate the performer's versatility and command over differing stylistic demands. While the recording remains a niche item within the classical catalog, it represents the efforts of the Freiburger Musik Forum to document the interpretations of emerging concert pianists in the mid-1990s.
