Jolly

Jolly was released in 2022 by the experimental project Das Schottische Prinzip through the independent label Bader Molden Recordings. The album emerges from a niche corner of the contemporary electronic and avant-garde scene, characterized by a deliberate focus on unconventional sound design and atmospheric texture. It reflects the project's ongoing exploration of minimalist compositions and the intersection of digital synthesis with organic, often unsettling, acoustic motifs.

The design and conceptual framework behind Jolly lean into a stark, minimalist aesthetic that mirrors the auditory experience of the record itself. While specific credits for the visual layout are often tied to the label's in-house aesthetic, the packaging is intended to act as a physical extension of the music's detached, rhythmic precision. Within the circles of experimental music enthusiasts, the release has been noted for its uncompromising stylistic consistency and its ability to challenge traditional structural expectations in ambient music.
