Karen LeFrak: Romántico

Released in early 2025 on the KL2 label, Romántico represents a continuation of Karen LeFrak’s established body of work as a composer. LeFrak, who has long balanced her involvement in the philanthropic arts community with a dedicated practice in classical composition, designed this project to explore themes of intimacy and melodic warmth. The album draws upon her background in traditional music theory, aiming to provide a reflective listening experience that echoes the structure of neoclassical chamber pieces.

The album was developed within the broader context of LeFrak’s ongoing commitment to music education and the support of orchestral performance. The production seeks to highlight her distinct compositional style, which often emphasizes fluid arrangements and narrative-driven melodies. Since its release, the project has been noted by listeners for its focus on understated elegance, serving as a personal expression of her artistic evolution and her continued engagement with contemporary classical composition.
