La Mystérieuse Mademoiselle C. - La Trame Sonore

Released in 2002 under the Audio Z label, this soundtrack accompanies the French-Canadian family fantasy film La Mystérieuse Mademoiselle C., which was directed by Richard Ciupka and based on the popular book series by Dominique Demers. The film tells the story of a quirky, magical teacher who transforms the lives of her students, and the music was composed to capture both the whimsical, mysterious nature of the protagonist and the emotional growth of the children in her classroom.

The soundtrack was composed by Gaëtan Gravel and Serge Laforest, two established figures in Quebecois film and television music. Their score blends orchestral textures with subtle modern touches to reflect the film's tone, which occupies a space between childhood wonder and the constraints of a rigid school environment. Upon its release, the music was well-received by fans of the film as a nostalgic piece of Quebec cinema history, effectively underscoring the film's success as a staple of regional children's entertainment.
