Ludovico Einaudi - Stanze - Original Piano Version

Originally composed by Ludovico Einaudi in 1992, the Stanze collection represents a pivotal moment in the transition of contemporary classical music toward a more minimalist, emotive aesthetic. The work was initially written for the harp and subsequently adapted for the piano, reflecting Einaudi’s exploration of repetitive structures and intimate, atmospheric soundscapes that would eventually define his influential career.

This 2017 recording by Italian pianist Olivia Belli serves as a modern interpretation of Einaudi's foundational work. By focusing on the piano as the primary voice, Belli honors the delicate architecture of the original compositions, aiming to capture the hushed, contemplative essence that has made this series a cornerstone of modern neoclassical piano repertoire since its inception.
