Where it came from
Released in 1998 on the independent Spanish label Al·leluia Records, Motores y bragas serves as a quintessential artifact of the late nineties underground experimental scene in Spain. The album represents a period of stylistic transition for Joder Around y su Ruido-Orchestra, capturing a chaotic fusion of industrial noise and absurdist lyricism that defined their brief but notable contribution to the local avant-garde circuit.
The album's visual identity, characterized by its lo-fi aesthetic and provocative iconography, was intended to mirror the harsh, abrasive soundscapes contained on the disc. Designed to challenge the listener's expectations of traditional song structure, the work was received by contemporary critics as a polarizing but authentic expression of the era's DIY ethos, cementing the group's status among enthusiasts of Iberian noise music.
