Projet Ludovico

Projet Ludovico serves as a pivotal release in the discography of the French underground hip-hop collective Droogz Brigade, emerging from the vibrant and gritty landscape of the Toulouse rap scene. Released in 2016 under the independent label Crazy Mother Fuckers Records, the album reflects the group's signature dark, abrasive style that draws heavy inspiration from industrial aesthetics and transgressive cinema, most notably the conditioning themes found in Anthony Burgess’s A Clockwork Orange, from which the project takes its name.

The album was crafted as a collaborative effort designed to push the boundaries of hardcore rap through dense lyricism and dissonant production. Upon its release, it was received as a cornerstone of the French 'underground' movement, noted by critics for its uncompromising tone and technical complexity. The visual identity of the record mirrors its thematic content, leaning into a bleak, dystopian imagery that solidified the group's reputation among enthusiasts of dark, independent hip-hop.
