Reflections (Clayton Jennings Spoken Word Album)

Reflections is a self-released spoken word album by Clayton Jennings, issued in 2017 during a period when Jennings maintained a significant social media following as a traveling evangelist. The album represents a distinct creative pivot for him, moving away from conventional preaching to deliver rhythmic, faith-based poetry and monologues set against atmospheric musical backdrops. This format was designed to modernize traditional religious messaging by utilizing the expressive, emotive style of slam poetry to engage a younger, digitally native audience.

The production of the album was handled independently, consistent with Jennings’s strategy of maintaining direct control over his creative content and distribution channels. The work reflects the minimalist, earnest aesthetic characteristic of his early digital output, prioritizing lyrical intensity over high-fidelity studio polish. While it received attention within his existing circle of followers, the project remains an artifact of a specific niche in contemporary Christian media, functioning as both a personal creative experiment and a tool for his ministry efforts during that era.
