Where it came from
Released in 2021 on the independent Studio Coke label, the SOS Wave Band project represents a collaborative effort between Martin Wallace and Bob Coke. This record emerged from a desire to explore atmospheric, experimental soundscapes, drawing on a minimalist production philosophy that prioritizes texture and auditory space over traditional song structures.
The album reflects a niche intersection of contemporary electronic and ambient composition. While the project remains an underground release, it was crafted as a deliberate homage to analog synthesis techniques, focusing on the interplay between deep bass frequencies and layered, rhythmic waves. It stands as a testament to the artists' commitment to niche sonic exploration within the modern digital-first music landscape.
