Provenance

Where it came from

The Casuals were a British pop group who found significant success in Italy during the late 1960s, famously winning the Festival di Sanremo in 1968. This compilation, The Jolly Joker Years 1967-1969, gathers the recordings the band produced during their tenure with the Italian label SAAR Records, a period characterized by a blend of melodic pop and orchestral arrangements tailored for the European market.

Released in 2017, this collection serves as a retrospective on the band’s most commercially vibrant era.
