Théophanie A Visu

Théophanie A Visu was released in 1999 on the Pure label, representing a collaborative effort between the experimental industrial projects Le Syndicat and Phaeton Dernière Danse. The album emerged from the French underground noise and electronic scene of the late nineties, a period marked by a penchant for harsh textures, conceptual soundscapes, and the integration of musique concrète influences with contemporary industrial composition.

The design and conceptual execution were driven by the artists' shared interest in ritualistic atmosphere and sonic density. By blending Le Syndicat's history of tape manipulation and metallic resonance with Phaeton Dernière Danse's aesthetic, the project aimed to create a disorienting, immersive experience for the listener. Upon release, it was recognized within experimental music circles as a distinct entry in the Pure label's catalog, appreciated primarily by collectors of niche European industrial and avant-garde noise.
