Where it came from
Vanaf Vandaag represents a specific entry in the Dutch-language pop landscape, released in 2015 under the Storm Records label. This project reflects the regional music scene's focus on intimate vocal performances and accessible songwriting, characteristic of the independent labels operating within the Netherlands during the mid-2010s.
The album serves as a document of Carina Lemoine’s musical development at the time. Like many releases from boutique imprints of this era, the design and production were centered on creating a direct, personal connection with the listener, prioritizing the clarity of the lyrical content and the artist's vocal delivery.
