Provenance

Where it came from

Released in 1995 by Viva Records Corporation, this self-titled album serves as a document of the mid-1990s OPM (Original Pilipino Music) landscape. During this era, Viva Records was a dominant force in the Philippine music industry, frequently launching projects that combined pop sensibilities with the distinct production style of the time to cater to a broad local audience.

The album reflects the trends of the mid-90s Philippine music scene, characterized by a mix of radio-friendly pop tracks and sentimental ballads. As part of the Viva Records catalog, it represents the label's strategy of artist development, focusing on packaging and accessible songwriting to establish the performer within the competitive local market of the period.
