Vanthology - A Tribute To Van Morrison

Vanthology: A Tribute to Van Morrison was released by Evidence Music in 2003 as a collaborative project aimed at celebrating the extensive and poetic songbook of the Belfast-born singer-songwriter. Produced as a sincere homage, the compilation features a diverse array of artists covering tracks that span Morrison's prolific career, moving beyond his most commercial hits to explore the folk, soul, and jazz inflections of his repertoire.

The curation focused on artists primarily from the blues, jazz, and roots-rock circuits, reflecting the stylistic influences that Morrison himself frequently draws upon. The collection was designed to offer listeners a reimagined perspective on classic arrangements, favoring atmospheric and soulful interpretations over direct replication. Upon release, it was generally received by critics as a modest, earnest collection that highlighted the durability of Morrison's songwriting across different musical genres.
