Wintertime Dreams - A Parisian Christmas

Released by Green Hill Productions, Wintertime Dreams - A Parisian Christmas serves as a seasonal collaboration between vocalist Tatiana Eva-Marie and the Avalon Jazz Band. The project was conceived to capture the nostalgic, atmospheric aesthetic of mid-century Parisian jazz, blending traditional holiday repertoire with the manouche-inspired swing style that has become the signature of the ensemble. By leaning into the sound of the 1930s and 40s jazz age, the album aims to evoke the warmth and elegance of a quiet winter evening in France rather than the typical high-energy orchestral pop often associated with holiday music.

The album's design and arrangement philosophy reflect Tatiana Eva-Marie's deep commitment to the Great American Songbook and French chansons. The production focuses on intimate, acoustic-leaning arrangements that highlight the interplay between the clarinet, guitar, and Eva-Marie’s nuanced vocal delivery. Upon release, the work was received as a stylish, thematic departure from contemporary festive releases, praised primarily by listeners and critics who favor vintage-inspired arrangements and authentic jazz sensibilities in holiday curation.
