Y

Released in 2017 on the Berlin-based imprint Albumlabel, Y represents a collaborative effort between the experimental electronic artist Raz Ohara and the project Cummi Flu. This record emerged from the deep-rooted avant-garde electronic scene in Berlin, reflecting a period where artists were increasingly blending minimalist techno aesthetics with more organic, song-oriented structures.

The album is noted for its idiosyncratic sound design, which relies on glitch-heavy textures layered over melancholic melodies. As a joint venture, the design and sonic direction prioritize atmospheric depth over conventional dancefloor utility. It was received by the independent music community as a challenging, introspective work that highlights the technical proficiency and stylistic experimentation typical of the Albumlabel roster.
