Where it came from
The 1995 1 Yuan coin commemorating the 50th anniversary of the victory in the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War was issued by the People's Bank of China. This release served as a significant national commemorative effort, intended to honor the sacrifices made during the conflict and to solidify the historical narrative of the victory in the mid-1990s.
The design of the coin reflects themes of patriotism and national resilience, featuring emblematic imagery associated with the conflict's resolution. As part of a broader series of commemorative currency issued during this period, the coin was produced for both circulation and collector interest, aiming to educate the public on historical milestones while showcasing the state's numismatic design capabilities at the time.
