150 Dollars - Elizabeth II (Blessings of Peace)

The 2013 150 Dollars coin, themed around the Blessings of Peace, was minted by the Royal Canadian Mint as a high-purity gold commemorative piece. Issued during the later years of Elizabeth II’s reign, the coin was designed to reflect Canada’s national values and the enduring hope for global stability. These collector coins are traditionally marketed to numismatists interested in Canadian heritage and the craftsmanship of the Royal Canadian Mint.

The design of the coin features intricate imagery symbolizing peace, often rendered in the Mint's signature proof finish which emphasizes the contrast between frosted relief and mirror-like fields. While the specific artist for this individual commemorative series is part of the Mint's internal design team, the aesthetic follows the tradition of Canadian numismatic artistry that balances regal portraiture with thematic symbolism. Upon release, it was well-received by collectors for its precious metal content and its role as a tangible marker of contemporary Canadian commemorative history.
