Adventures of Bayou Billy #4

Adventures of Bayou Billy #4 was published by Archie Comics in 1989, serving as part of a short-lived series based on the Konami video game of the same name. The comic was developed during a period in the late 1980s when toy and game manufacturers frequently licensed their intellectual properties to comic book publishers to bolster brand recognition, reflecting the broader trend of multimedia cross-promotion common in that era.

The series featured internal artwork and storytelling that adapted the game's adventurous, action-heavy premise, following the protagonist, Billy, as he navigated the Louisiana bayou. While the game was noted for its unconventional mix of genres—including side-scrolling combat and shooting stages—the comic focused on translating those high-stakes encounters into a linear narrative. It remains a minor curiosity among collectors of 1980s video game tie-in media, appreciated primarily for its niche role in the era's promotional landscape.
