Alien: King Killer #3

Alien: King Killer #3 was published by Dark Horse Comics in 1996 as the conclusion to a four-part miniseries written by Jerry Prosser and illustrated by Kelley Jones. The series emerged during a period when Dark Horse held a firm grasp on the Alien franchise, frequently expanding the lore of the xenomorphs through gritty, dark-toned graphic narratives that capitalized on the horror aesthetic established in the films.

The visual direction of the series was defined by Kelley Jones, whose signature gothic and stylized approach to anatomy brought a visceral, distorted quality to the xenomorphs that diverged from the more clinical designs seen in earlier iterations. The miniseries followed the protagonist, Ellen Ripley, in a narrative that explored themes of obsession and vengeance, and while it remains a niche entry in the extensive library of Alien comics, it is noted by enthusiasts for its unique artistic interpretation of the series' iconic antagonists.
