All-Star Squadron #13

Published in 1982, All-Star Squadron #13 is a significant installment in the DC Comics series created by Roy Thomas. The series was designed to explore the stories of Justice Society of America members during the Second World War, filling in continuity gaps within the DC Universe. This specific issue is particularly notable for featuring the artwork of Jerry Ordway, whose detailed style helped define the book's period-appropriate aesthetic, aiming to capture the spirit of Golden Age comics while integrating modern narrative complexities.

The issue serves as a key chapter in the ongoing saga that sought to weave together the sprawling history of DC's wartime heroes. Roy Thomas intended the series to serve as a love letter to the early days of comic book storytelling, and the reception was largely positive among fans who appreciated the meticulous attention to historical context and character legacy. It remains a valued piece for collectors who focus on the expansive world-building that characterized the DC Comics titles of the early 1980s.
