Avalon #7

Avalon #7 belongs to the independent comic series created and written by artist and author Rick Veitch. Published in the late 1980s and early 1990s through his King Hell Press imprint, the series emerged during a period of significant creative experimentation in the American comics industry, where creators sought greater control over their intellectual property outside of the traditional major publisher structures.

The design and narrative of the series reflect Veitch’s signature blending of visionary fantasy and psychological depth, often categorized by its complex world-building and distinct, dense illustrative style. While the Avalon series represents a niche corner of the independent market, it is frequently cited by followers of underground comics for its commitment to a singular creative vision that prioritized thematic exploration over mainstream commercial tropes.
