Avengers United They Stand #1

Avengers: United They Stand #1 was published in 1999 as a tie-in to the animated television series of the same name. Marvel Comics produced this title to capitalize on the show's aesthetic, which utilized a distinct 'Armor Age' visual style where the heroes wore high-tech, modular combat suits. The series was designed to appeal to younger audiences accustomed to the show's Saturday morning broadcast schedule.

The comic was written by Erika Ayres with art by Pino Rinaldi, aiming to capture the tone and character dynamics established in the animated series. It featured a roster including Ant-Man, Wasp, Wonder Man, Tigra, Hawkeye, Falcon, and Scarlet Witch. Despite the cross-media effort, the series received a lukewarm reception from established comic readers who preferred the traditional aesthetics of the mainstream Marvel Universe, leading to a brief run that concluded alongside the cancellation of the television program.
