Baban Baban Ban Vampire #13

Baban Baban Ban Vampire is a supernatural comedy manga series created by Hiromasa Okujima, first serialized in the Japanese magazine Bessatsu Shonen Champion in 2021. The series centers on the unconventional life of Ranko, a four-hundred-year-old vampire who works at a traditional sento, or public bathhouse, and his complicated relationship with a young man he hopes to turn into his successor. Issue 13 represents a mid-run installment of this ongoing narrative, reflecting the series' blend of slapstick humor, folkloric tropes, and character-driven drama that has defined Okujima's style.

The visual identity of the series relies on Okujima’s distinctive character design, which emphasizes expressive, often comedic facial reactions contrasted with the gothic nature of the protagonist’s vampiric heritage. As the series has progressed, it has been noted for its ability to balance lighthearted episodic antics with an overarching plot regarding immortality and lineage. The publication of individual issues like number 13 serves to maintain the momentum of this serialized format, catering to a reader base that appreciates the genre-bending approach Okujima brings to the shonen demographic.
