Badger: Shattered Mirror #3

Badger: Shattered Mirror #3 was published in 1993 as part of a limited series featuring the character Badger, a fanatical martial artist with multiple personality disorder created by Mike Baron. The series was produced during a period when the character, originally published by First Comics, was being explored through independent imprints. This specific storyline aimed to deconstruct the protagonist's psyche by placing him within a fractured reality, reflecting the experimental tone that defined Baron's long-running work with the character.

The art and narrative direction of this series continued the trend of blending dark, satirical humor with gritty action, a hallmark of Badger's visual identity since his debut in the mid-1980s. While Badger remained a cult favorite among readers of independent comics, the Shattered Mirror arc served as a showcase for Baron’s ability to navigate complex character studies within the confines of the superhero genre, receiving moderate attention from long-time fans who valued the character's erratic, irreverent nature.
