Boule & Bill - Das Familienalbum #1

Boule & Bill, created by the Belgian cartoonist Jean Roba in 1959, stands as one of the most enduring staples of Franco-Belgian comics. The series originated within the pages of Spirou magazine, capturing the heartwarming and humorous daily life of a young boy named Boule and his exuberant Cocker Spaniel, Bill. Roba’s work is celebrated for its fluid, expressive linework and the gentle, observational comedy that highlights the bond between a child and his pet.

The Das Familienalbum series serves as a German-language compilation designed to curate and present these classic vignettes for a new generation of readers. By collecting these strips into a thematic album, the publishers aimed to preserve Roba's legacy while emphasizing the universal appeal of the characters. These collections have been well-received by fans of the Franco-Belgian school of comics, serving as both a nostalgic reference for long-time readers and an accessible entry point for those new to the whimsical world of Boule and Bill.
