Caliber Presents #16

Caliber Presents was a cornerstone anthology series published by Caliber Comics during the independent comic boom of the 1990s. Launched as a vehicle for emerging talent, the series served as a laboratory for creators to experiment with diverse genres and unconventional storytelling styles, often providing a platform for works that sat outside the traditional superhero-dominated market.

Issue #16 is notable for its role in the anthology's mission to highlight varied voices within the medium. Like other entries in the series, it functioned as a showcase for independent writers and artists, reflecting the publisher's commitment to creator-owned material. The design aesthetic was characteristic of the era's black-and-white independent movement, prioritizing narrative innovation and experimental layouts over high-gloss production values.
