Where it came from
Released as a tie-in to the Capcom Fighting Collection 2, this comic issue serves to bridge the narrative gap and celebrate the historic crossover between Capcom and SNK. It draws upon the deep well of iconic character rosters from franchises like Street Fighter, Darkstalkers, and The King of Fighters, capturing the competitive spirit that defined the arcade era of the late 1990s and early 2000s.
The publication was designed to provide modern context for the legacy of the Capcom vs. SNK series, utilizing a dynamic art style that mimics the high-energy aesthetic of the original fighting games. It was produced as a promotional companion piece intended to evoke nostalgia among long-time fans while introducing the historical rivalry to a new generation of players, and it has been received as a thoughtful homage to the golden age of fighting game culture.
