Chōetsusha to Natta Ossan wa My Pace ni Isekai wo Sansaku Suru #2

Chōetsusha to Natta Ossan wa My Pace ni Isekai wo Sansaku Suru, or The Middle-Aged Man Who Became a Transcendent Walks Through Another World at His Own Pace, began as a light novel series written by Megane Koubou. The narrative follows a middle-aged protagonist who is granted god-like abilities and chooses to explore a fantasy world with a nonchalant attitude, subverting the typical high-stakes hero tropes found in the isekai genre. The second volume continues the character's journey, focusing on his low-stress adventures and the unique perspective of someone who has already achieved absolute power.

The character designs and illustrations for the series were provided by the artist known as Rara. The aesthetic leans into the light-hearted tone of the story, emphasizing the protagonist's calm demeanor amidst the whimsical and often chaotic environment of the fantasy setting. Since its release, the volume has been received as a comfortable entry within the saturation of the isekai market, catering to readers who appreciate the 'slow life' subgenre where the focus is placed on exploration and atmosphere rather than traditional combat-driven conflict.
