Codename: Knockout #19

Codename: Knockout was a monthly comic book series published by DC Comics under the mature-readers Vertigo imprint, debuting in 2001. The series centered on a trio of female assassins—Knockout, Flawless, and Shoot—working for a high-end agency. Issue number 19, released in 2002, serves as part of the series' mid-run narrative, reflecting the editorial direction of the era which prioritized noir aesthetics, sharp dialogue, and stylized action sequences typical of the post-Sandman Vertigo style.

The series was created by writer Robert Rodi and featured artwork by Amanda Conner, a prominent illustrator known for her expressive character work and dynamic panel layouts. The title was conceived as a lighthearted, comedic take on the spy genre, often contrasting the deadly nature of the protagonists' work with satirical social commentary. While the series gained a dedicated cult following for its distinct visual identity and witty banter, it remained a niche title within the broader DC catalog, ultimately concluding with its twenty-third issue.
