Comic X-Eros #106

Comic X-Eros, published by Eros Comix during the 1990s and early 2000s, emerged as a specialized imprint of Fantagraphics Books focused on adult-oriented comics. Issue #106 belongs to a long-running anthology series that served as a platform for various underground and erotic comic artists to showcase short-form stories and pin-up art, reflecting the era's push to bring mature content into the broader landscape of alternative comix.

The series design and editorial direction were heavily influenced by the publisher's commitment to independent creative expression. As an anthology, the aesthetic of #106 varies based on the specific contributors included in that issue, consistent with the imprint's goal of curating a diverse range of styles. While these issues were primarily distributed through specialty comic shops and adult bookstores, they are now primarily regarded as historical artifacts documenting the intersection of 1990s alternative art culture and erotic illustration.
