Daredevil #151

Published in March 1978, Daredevil #151 occupies a notable place in the series' transition period during the late seventies. It was produced at a time when the title was attempting to find a consistent creative direction, bridging the gap between earlier experimental runs and the seminal Frank Miller era that would follow shortly thereafter. The issue features a script by Roger McKenzie and interior art by Lee Elias, a veteran artist whose classic style provided a grounded, gritty aesthetic that complemented the street-level tone of Hell's Kitchen.

The cover art for this issue was provided by Gil Kane, whose dynamic sense of movement and tension was a hallmark of the Marvel style during that era. The narrative focus reflects the ongoing struggle of Matt Murdock balancing his legal career with his vigilante responsibilities, a recurring thematic anchor for the series. While issue #151 is often overshadowed by the high-profile shifts in tone that occurred only a few issues later, it serves as a representative example of the standard-bearer approach Marvel took to its noir-inspired titles during the late Bronze Age of comics.
