Daredevil #17

Published by Marvel Comics in 1966, Daredevil #17 arrived during the early Silver Age of comics, a period defined by Marvel's expansion of its burgeoning shared universe. The issue follows Matt Murdock’s ongoing struggle to balance his career as a blind defense attorney with his role as the vigilante Daredevil, reflecting the quintessential Marvel approach of grounding superhuman feats in personal, often melodramatic, human challenges.

The issue features artwork by John Romita Sr., whose clean, expressive style helped define the look of Marvel’s street-level heroes during this era. As the series progressed under writer Stan Lee, the title experimented with tone and character development, moving away from simple costumed heroics toward more complex emotional narratives. While not as historically pivotal as the character's debut, the issue remains a notable example of mid-sixties comic book craftsmanship and the collaborative synergy between Lee and Romita.
