Daredevil #2

Daredevil #2 was published in 1964 as the second installment in the original Daredevil series from Marvel Comics. Following the character's debut in issue #1, this issue continued the narrative established by creators Stan Lee and Bill Everett, introducing the character Electro as a primary antagonist. The intent behind these early issues was to solidify the titular character's place in the burgeoning Marvel Universe, leaning into the swashbuckling and acrobatic persona that defined the hero during his initial run.

The artwork for this issue featured pencils by Joe Orlando, who stepped in to help define the visual style of the series following Everett's work on the first issue. The design approach focused on maintaining the high-energy, dynamic combat sequences that were becoming a hallmark of Silver Age comics. While early issues of the series were sometimes overshadowed by more popular titles of the era, this issue is now regarded as a foundational piece of Daredevil history, documenting the early evolution of both the hero and his rogues' gallery.
