DC Comics Presents #46

DC Comics Presents #46 was published in June 1982 as part of a long-running anthology series designed to showcase team-ups between Superman and other characters within the DC Universe. This specific issue, written by Dan Mishkin and Gary Cohn with artwork by Irv Novick and Frank McLaughlin, pairs the Man of Steel with Stormwatch, a team of heroes who operate primarily within the realm of magic and the supernatural. The story reflects the broader 1980s editorial approach at DC, which frequently utilized these team-up books to integrate diverse corners of their expanding narrative landscape.

The cover and interior illustrations capture the distinct house style of early 1980s DC production, characterized by clean, traditional linework and standard four-color separation. As a mid-tier entry in the series, the issue was aimed at readers interested in the connective tissue between Superman’s sci-fi roots and the occult elements of the DC mythos. While not regarded as a definitive or landmark issue, it serves as a representative example of the mid-run DC Comics Presents era, maintaining the consistent, reliable aesthetic that defined the publisher's output during that decade.
