Dōkyonin ga Konoyo no Mon Janai #2

Dōkyonin ga Konoyo no Mon Janai, serialized in the manga magazine Bessatsu Shōnen Champion, was created by the mangaka known as Nikiichi Tobita. The series explores the supernatural through a domestic lens, centered on the comedic and unsettling interactions between a human protagonist and various spirits sharing their living space. The second volume continues the narrative arc established in the debut, further developing the character dynamics and the distinct atmospheric blend of horror and slice-of-life tropes that define Tobita’s storytelling style.

The visual design of the series is characterized by Tobita's intricate line work and his ability to juxtapose mundane household settings with surreal, otherworldly character designs. Upon its release, the series garnered attention for its unique take on the paranormal genre, appealing to readers who appreciate dark humor coupled with character-driven plots. As part of the wider body of work from the publisher Akita Shoten, this volume maintains the aesthetic consistency of the series and has been well-regarded by fans of contemporary supernatural manga for its creative approach to urban folklore.
