Don Lawrence - Meister der Illustrations- und Comickunst #1

The Don Lawrence: Meister der Illustrations- und Comickunst series was initiated as a high-end tribute to the British artist Don Lawrence, best known for his influential work on series such as The Trigan Empire and Storm. This inaugural volume was designed to celebrate his meticulous painted style, which bridged the gap between traditional comic illustration and fine art, and was released to provide enthusiasts with a curated look at his original production materials and artistic process.

The collection was curated to highlight Lawrence’s unique technical approach, specifically his mastery of watercolors and ink to create depth and realism in science fiction and fantasy settings. It was received by the European comics community as a definitive archival resource, lauded for its production quality and its respectful examination of how Lawrence’s creative vision evolved throughout his career. The series serves as both a retrospective for long-term fans and an introduction for those new to his sophisticated aesthetic.
