Dragon Ball Chāo: Qīlóngzhū Chāo #4

Dragon Ball Super, known in its Chinese-localized branding as Dragon Ball Chāo, began serialization in the mid-2010s to continue the narrative following the conclusion of Dragon Ball Z. The series serves as an official sequel overseen by original creator Akira Toriyama, with illustrative duties handled by the artist Toyotarou. Issue number 4 continues the 'God of Destruction Beerus' arc, focusing on expanding the established lore of the multiverse and introducing new celestial entities into the existing framework of the franchise.

Toyotarou was personally selected by Toriyama to adapt the storyboards into a cohesive manga format. The design philosophy of the series balances a desire to maintain the kinetic, high-stakes combat characteristic of the original 1980s work with a modernized visual style intended for a new generation of readers. Upon release, the series was received as a significant cultural milestone, marking the return of the franchise to serialized print and serving as the foundational source material for the accompanying anime adaptation.
