Dragon Quest: Dai no Daibōken - Shinsō Sairokuban #8

The Shinsō Sairokuban edition of Dragon Quest: Dai no Daibōken was published in Japan starting in 2020 to commemorate the release of the updated anime adaptation. This particular volume, issue number eight, follows the established narrative arc of the original manga series written by Riku Sanjo and illustrated by Koji Inada. The series was designed to introduce a new generation of readers to the epic fantasy quest, featuring refreshed cover art and high-quality printing that honors the legacy of the original Weekly Shonen Jump serialization that began in 1989.

Koji Inada’s illustrations are central to the appeal of this edition, maintaining the dynamic action and expressive character designs that defined the series' look. The Shinsō Sairokuban release was well-received by long-term fans who appreciated the larger format and improved reproduction quality, which highlights the intricate detail of the combat sequences and the world-building inspired by the Dragon Quest video game franchise. It serves as a definitive collector's version of the story, consolidating the extensive manga narrative into a cohesive, aesthetically polished set.
