Eden: It's an Endless World Master Edition #2

Eden: It's an Endless World! is a critically acclaimed post-apocalyptic science fiction manga series created by Hiroki Endo. First serialized in Japan’s Monthly Afternoon magazine in the late 1990s, the series depicts a gritty, complex future ravaged by a global pandemic, exploring themes of philosophy, human nature, and political instability. The Master Edition series was curated by Dark Horse Comics to collect the original eighteen-volume run into larger, omnibus-style volumes, featuring higher quality paper and updated formatting intended to preserve the intricate, highly detailed linework Endo utilized to define his dystopian landscapes.

The design of the Master Edition series was intended to provide a definitive archival experience for Western readers, emphasizing the visual density and dark atmospheric tone of Endo’s artwork. By grouping multiple original volumes into one, the Master Edition format highlights the evolution of the narrative's vast, interwoven subplots. Upon its release, this collection was well-received by fans and critics alike, frequently cited for its intellectual depth and its stark contrast to traditional shonen manga tropes, cementing Endo’s reputation as a distinct voice in the seinen manga genre.
