Egregor: Le Souffle de la Foi #12

Egregor: Le Souffle de la Foi is a French fantasy manga series created by the duo Kaya and Darry Cowl, first published in 2019. The series emerged from a collaborative effort to blend the structural conventions of traditional Japanese manga with themes rooted in Western fantasy, specifically focusing on the intersection of faith, alchemy, and sociopolitical upheaval in a fictionalized world. Issue 12 serves as a pivotal installment in the long-running narrative arc, continuing the saga of Fane as he navigates the complex power dynamics of his realm.

The visual identity of the series is characterized by dynamic, high-contrast black-and-white artwork that pays homage to classic shonen action aesthetics while maintaining a distinctively European flair. The creative team aimed to explore the psychological weight of belief systems and the cost of revolution. Since its debut, the series has been well-regarded by the Francophone comics community for its world-building and commitment to a sprawling, multi-volume story that rewards readers who follow the protagonist's development from the first chapter.
