Elsbeth #1

Elsbeth #1 was released by Dynamite Entertainment in 2024 as a direct comic book tie-in to the CBS television series Elsbeth, a spin-off of The Good Wife. The series follows Elsbeth Tascioni, an astute but unconventional attorney who moves from Chicago to New York City to work alongside the NYPD. The comic was commissioned to expand the show's universe, providing fans with supplemental investigations that maintain the quirky, procedural tone established on screen.

The creative direction for the issue focuses on capturing the character's unique fashion sense and her meticulous, detail-oriented investigative style through a visual medium. Writers and artists involved in the project aimed to translate the specific cadence of the television dialogue into the rhythmic structure of a comic book. Upon release, the issue was received primarily as a collectible for enthusiasts of the show, serving as a companion piece that emphasizes the character-driven mysteries characteristic of the Elsbeth franchise.
