Entre la Reine et Moi #2

Entre la Reine et Moi is a French independent comic series written and illustrated by the artist known as Boulet. It emerged during a period of prolific creative output from the author, who utilized his online platform and personal blog to experiment with autobiographical and humorous narrative styles. This specific issue captures the introspective yet whimsical tone characteristic of the artist's early 2000s work, focusing on the intersection of mundane daily life and imaginative, often surreal, internal monologues.

The aesthetic of this series draws heavily from the tradition of Franco-Belgian bandes dessinées while infusing a modern, blog-inspired fluidity. Boulet’s design choice for this issue emphasizes expressive, sketch-like linework that prioritizes character emotion over intricate backgrounds. Upon its release, the work was well-received within the burgeoning French digital comics community, helping to solidify the author's reputation as a pivotal figure in the transition of European comics from traditional print serials to digital-native formats.
