Exiles #90

Exiles #90, published in 2007, is part of a long-running Marvel Comics series centered on a multiversal team of superheroes tasked with repairing broken timelines. This specific issue is a component of the 'The Proud and the Mighty' story arc, which follows the team's mission in an alternate reality dominated by a version of the Avengers that has evolved into an authoritarian regime. The narrative leans into the series' trademark subversion of classic character archetypes, placing familiar figures in morally compromised positions to explore the consequences of power.

The issue features scripts by Chris Claremont, a legendary writer instrumental in shaping the X-Men mythos, with art by Clayton Henry. Claremont’s tenure on the title sought to blend high-stakes multiversal adventure with the character-driven melodrama he is known for. The visual presentation by Henry prioritizes dynamic layouts to capture the frantic pace of the Exiles' interdimensional travels, a style that was generally well-regarded by readers for maintaining visual cohesion despite the frequently shifting settings and rosters inherent to the title’s premise.
