Exquisite Corpses #12

Exquisite Corpses #12 is part of a collaborative comic anthology series that draws its structural inspiration from the surrealist parlor game of the same name. In this artistic method, multiple creators contribute to a single work without seeing the full extent of the previous sections, resulting in fragmented, whimsical, and often disjointed narratives that prioritize spontaneous creativity over rigid continuity.

The issue features a rotating roster of independent illustrators and writers, a hallmark of the series' commitment to championing underground and experimental voices. The design ethos centers on aesthetic juxtaposition, where shifting visual styles serve as a commentary on the communal nature of storytelling, and it has generally been regarded by independent comics critics as a notable, if niche, experiment in collaborative sequential art.
